Water rocket season again

Now that it's warm again (and since my wife's out of town today) I decided to play with water rockets. Well, actually at this point all I'm doing is sending up an unaltered 2 liter bottle...but hey, it's a very basic water rocket :) For a launcher I've mounted a pretty standard looking double O-ring launch rod (although it's a bit short) on a small piece of wood and then mounted a collar made of 2inch PVC with a single cut in the side. I'm sure you'll notice that this wasn't designed SPECIFICALLY as a water rocket launcher. I'll talk about it's other use at another time.

To hold the neck of the bottle, a small piece of aluminum is inserted in the side of the collar. > > >
...and once again, that does it for another poitsplace post. On the off chance I have any ACTUAL visitors I'd like to say I'm sorry the page looks like crap...I keep meaning to fix it up but I'm just too darned lazy. In parting I'll leave you with a link to a funny article I found. Until next time...goodbye you non-existent readers, wherever you aren't
