Well, I figured I'd give it a try learning the Dvorak keyboard. It's actually a lot easier to learn than I though. Within half an hour I could type most things (slowly of course) without looking up at my little cheat sheet.

Supposedly Dvorak is easier to learn (seems to be), much faster, has better accuracy and causes less fatigue. BTW, a handy little windows setting allows you to easily switch between the layouts on a normal keyboard with a couple hotkeys.
