Well, I haven't dropped off the face of the planet, just been taking a break from things.  Unfortunately today things decided to take back some of my time.  Router died, the wife's computer (which had been acting up) died...and I'm waiting for a call back from my mom to see if the chest pains my father was having (which were mild, thankfully) are anything to worry about.

Anyway, while I wait, new router installed...need to see if I can resurrect the old one, a friend informs me they sometimes need to be flashed because...well, the flash dies (probably takes harder hits from lightning than the other side of the network normally sees).

Wife's computer temporarily fixed.  I've got another Athlon XP system she's using for the time being but I've got the old PentiumD to setup so soon she'll have a faster computer anyway...the old motherboard was acting up, kind of makes me wonder if flashing that one would help a little.

On the PentiumD computer front...I see they've just released a new BIOS update.  That makes me wonder if they...inadvertently...included conroe support. Guess I'll check later

update: sadly, they didn't , my C2D didn't work on the old board.
