Thanks state legislature...thanks for a piddly raise while raising dependent health care coverage by 15%, deductables by 30%, copays 20-25%, and emergency room visits 30%. Could I just REFUSE my raise and you just leave my health care where it is now? I mean, I'd REALLY rather not take a "pay raise" if it's going to cut my overall pay plus benefits by $1000 per year...while we're at it, could you also pay me in 2004 dollars, that way inflation wouldn't screw me out of another thousand...so yeah, DEFINATELY, if you could swing it, I'd like to refuse my raise and keep getting paid in 2004 dollars so I wouldn't be fucked by a 7-10% cut to pay/benefits.
